7 Ways To Support Someone With An Eating Disorder
When I started treatment for Binge Eating Disorder, my husband had no clue how to help me. How could he know? He'd never been exposed to anyone in recovery from an eating disorder before. And to make matters worse, I was uneducated about it myself (I'd never been exposed to it either), so I couldn't even tell him what I needed from him for support.
Luckily, we're besties, and you do anything you need to do for your bestie.
In this video, we're talking about what it was like for him when I started the often painful process of treatment. We also discuss the things that he's learned that have helped him on this journey, and the things that I've learned that have helped me to communicate my needs to him. We're a great team, really! Maybe there will be something that you hear in our chat that will help you in some small way too.
Also, keep an eye out for news about my upcoming book release. The Recovery Reflections Journal will be available in stores and online in a few weeks!
